In this workshop attendees were asked to come up with random video game scenarios and ideas. They were picked at random and as a group we collectively went through the process of creating music for the chosen game scenario by personifying these ideas through music. The panel at PAX East 2013 only gave me one hour, so there wasn’t much time to make a handful of tracks. This time around there was more Q & A than normal, so we only managed to produce two tracks. Here they are!
I’ll put what the game scenario was, streaming audio player and a download link. I will also put the whole collection into a .zip file if you want to download the audio tracks in one zipped file.
Many of you were asking what kind of software, virtual instruments and other hardware I use when I produce music. Here is a list of everything I currently use:
Feel free to contact me if you still have any questions regarding music, music software, the video game industry or anything else, I’d be more than willing to answer your questions!
Hope to see you guys next year, it was great!
Everything you hear was made on the spot for the duration of the workshop. (1 hour)
