In this workshop attendees were asked to help create a music tracks for a space combat game with a tasty theme. As a group we came up with various musical concepts that fit to the gameplay environment. Throughout the workshop attendees saw how this process is done. As a group we collectively went through the process of creating music for the game. After the two hours the evolving game soundtrack was created and we saw a live gameplay demo with the music we created. This was a workshop that was not to be missed at this years convention!
The game that we made music to during the workshop is a sci-fi space combat game that I am composing music for called: Galactose: Pastries in Space (click the link to go to our Steam Greenlight page where you can play a free demo of the game!)
Everything you hear was made on the spot for the duration of the workshop. (2 hours). During this time we created music for the Loading Screen/Title, Tutorial Mission and an epic track for the final battle.
